- What are the requirements for TelePsychiatry?
TelePsychiatry is a system that can be operated in all types of gadgets with Adobe Flash. To be able to go online, the gadget you would like to use needs to have the following features;
- Camera and microphone,
- Windows or Mac OS X or Linux based operating system,
- Internet connection
- Is it possible to go online with an iOS/Android operated tablet?
No. It is not possible to go online with such types of operating systems despite the on-going development process.
- I filled in the appointment request form. What should I do now?
Test your operating system with the "Settings Wizard" on the page "appointment request form"; make sure that your operating system has all required features; and finally fill in your appointment request form and send it. After your form is received by the Call Center, you will be contacted as mentioned. Once your appointment is arranged, you will receive an invitation e-mail providing you information about the specialist you will see, the date and time of your appointment and the link that is required for you to be able to participate. (See the sample below) You are to be ready on the computer on the mentioned day and time; and click the link on the invitation e-mail you received.

When you first click on the link, you will be directed to the page "Informed Consent Form for TelePsychiatry".
After you finish and click on the confirm button, you will be directed to the main page.
Click on the "enter" button to log in.
- I logged in but the other person cannot see or hear me.
When you log in, our specialist will send you a request so that you can use your camera and microphone. When the request is sent (if you haven't allowed access yet), a request screen might appear similar to the one below.
You will need to allow the other person to access your camera and microphone by clicking the Close (Kapat) button after you have clicked the yellow Allow (İzin ver) button. If the problem cannot be solved, you can control your settings on the "Settings Wizard" screen.
- I clicked the link on the invitation e-mail but I cannot log in
TelePsychiatry sessions will only be activated on the date and the time mentioned in the email sent to you. It is not possible for you to log in before that. You need to gain access to the relevant page by clicking the link on the determined date and time.
- I am shy about discussing sexual matters face-to-face. Is it possible for me to use TeleTherapy?
Many people find it uncomfortable to discuss sexual matters in the beginning. However, one of the purposes of sexual therapy is to overcome this difficulty. Using TeleTherapy for such purpose doesn't solve your problem. On the contrary, the problem persists. A face-to-face meeting with the therapist will be the first step in overcoming this difficulty. This is why we recommend you to start with a face-to-face meeting. TeleTherapy may be used in circumstances where the ongoing therapy shouldn't be interrupted or applications must be followed up.
